Default no light on punk dig?

so i had a chance to wire up my xr10

tekin fxr
jr hv9100t
castle bec
spectrum sr300 w/ dx3r
punk dig

plugged in my battery
tested steering --> ok
tested and programed esc --> ok
tested punk dig --> nothing, front and rear wheels still running and there is no light coming from the led on the punk dig

this is my first time using a moa style crawler and first time using a dig switch any one know what i may have missed? or come across a similar problem?

Check to see if the Punk servo plug is plugged in correctly.
Make sure the DX3R button you want to use for dig is selected.
The Punk has a voltage limit, make sure your BEC is not set for 8.4v.
How is your BEC wired? CC wiring or Alternate wiring?
Is the SR300 used? I've seen the Aux channel fail, (I have three Spektrum Rxs with bad Aux channels).
I think you could try plugging the Punk into the steering port on the Rx and see if it lights up.
Eliminate variables.

checked servo plug and it was a little loose replaced it and now the led glows red and only motor 1 responds. even after hitting the buttons

dx3r buttons D and E are mapped as "aux 3p" epa's set at 100%

bec is set to 6.0v

bec is wired as described by cc

aux channel checked by plugging servo into aux channel. *no problems works fine and hit all 3 positions

dig plugged into channel 1 to test. only red light glows when wheel is turned left and right

i also took a volt meter to the punk dig. power going to both motor1 leads and esc leads no power going to motor 2

anything else i might be missing? or do u guys think it's just a bad switch

You check the framerate setting? Punks will not work on the 5.5ms setting. You may be set on this.

Make sure that your epa's are maxed out. Other than that I dont know, sounds like it may be defective. Should be green for 4wd, if none of that works try reversing your 3rd channel to see if the led switches to blue. If that works then it sounds like it has to be in your programing.

Yes, the only thing left to do is max out the EPAs just for the hell of it.
Also, make sure your Aux expo isn't all whacked out.
If it still doesn't work, it must be defective.

Hi
i had similar problems
i read somewhere that only one button can be assigned 'aux 3p' at a time so having two assigned at the same time could be messing up the punk dig

I havent got a punk dig anymore so i cant try it for you, but it may just be the problem

Hope this helps

Push scroll button,
scroll down to monitor,
scroll down menu to button selection,
select 3p.

I think, it's been a while.

  1. Scroll down to system
  2. Hit switch select
  3. Select what switch you want to use
  4. Select 3pos
