Default wiring CC BEC and using @ 7v, will it burn the RX?

i was wondering how would i need to wire the castle bec in order to supply my HS7980tg with 7v and still be able to supply 6v to the rx which has a working voltage of 5-6v max??

do any of you guys know how to get round this problem??

Here ya go I think this is what your looking for, Wiring it this way allows you to run 7 volts to your servo and let the esc power your rx...

Exactly. After switching to this from the wiring castle tells you to use I wont be going back. It makes much more sense this way.

The CC 10 amp BEC has brown, red and orange wires, which one is the signal wire? Orange?

brown: -
red: +
orange: signal

I just made myself this out of a normal y harness



and then just leave all 3 wires from the ESC and let it power the rx.

so 7v to the servo wont fry anthing?
I run 6v to my JR9100t. I would love a bit more....but am scared of killing shit.

He has a HV servo, it'll actually take 8.4 volts as it's made to hook straight to 2s lipo. I run the same 7980 set at 8.4, my rx can handle the volts but the amp draw scared me so I use the harness style above. I've ran regular voltage JR's at up to 6.5 without issue, the gears were still the weak spot after a year and a half of beating.

This is how I do my set up so I can allways reuse my servo in something else...

I also disconnect the signal wire from the BEC so you have the two power wires + & - from teh BEC and the Sig from the RX and leave all the wires intact where you plug in the srevo into the Y connector. This isolates the servo and bypasses the RX from the higher voltage.
