Has anyone tried running a switch between the lipo and the esc?
If so, what type?
Ill be using a 3s with about 45A burst rate.
Thanks

First off why would you want to run a switch? you should unplug your lipo regardless, if you did use a switch it would have to be big enough transfer all the power through to the esc, i think it would be a bad idea

Ya, i thought that might be a bad idea too, but maybe someone makes
one designed to handle the amp load. It would sure be nice not to have to take off the body all the time.
Plus those deans plugs are a pita to plug and unplug 20 times a day.

Honestly, I have thought about doing that as well. Due to my BEC, my RX powers up as soon as I plug the battery in (servo as well). It really wouldn't be that hard to do, just put it inline on the positive side and your all set, Radio Shack sells SPST switches that would handle the load easily.
But, that switch will be bulky, mounting it would be a hassle, it could get bumped and shut off the truck while running, and it is just one more thing to fail on the truck.

So, weighing everything, the risks outweigh the bennifits and it really isn't that much of a chore to plug in the battery...

JMHO...
