Question Moped V16 3s Lipo Test

hey everyone, i just bought a moped v16 for 26 bucks, i am building a fpv crawler setip and wanted to know if there is anyway i can run the the esc
using my 3c 11.1v 1300mah lipos i have sitting around,

i must confse i have been running this with these batterys for 2 weeks now, and seems to work great, but i know eventually it will burn it up
i already had an issue where my receiver twitched and ran full throttle into the wall, ( not sure of the cause yet)
)
My Quesiton is, Can I run some kind of resistor to lower it to a safer voltage

the axles are from an old new bright jeep ( not a nylint crawler ) it has more than enough power

if theres anyone out there please help me ( PLEASE )

if you want to lower the voltage get a battery thatr the esc can handle so a 2s lipo they can be bought cheap which is goin to be easier than puttin an inline resistor in that can handle the amp draw without getting hot
