Default Novak Rooster Crawler

I would like to ask if the Novak Rooster Crawler ESC, having 5 amps, will be enough to power up 2 servos (steering & dig servos)?

It would most likely work, but I would go ahead and get a cc bec also. The streering servo will draw more amps and possibly give you some trouble.

also depends what the servos are as if they are weaker they dont draw as many amps making it more likely to work well. but say u had a 300oz plus a similar theres no way it would work well

I had my Rooster powering a Hitech 7950 (steering) and a 645 (dig) with no problems (7-Cell 2/3 C 1500mha pack)

Spend the $20.00 for a BEC,it will work better. I ran JR 8711 steer and 645mg dig servo for over a year without a BEC and it worked, but it is much happier with one. Biggest problem was not being able to dig and steer at the same time or the truck would start twitching sometimes.

If your steering servo is no more than 350 in-oz you will prolly be ok. Never hurts to have a BEC if you can though.

How did you send more than 7.4 volts to that 7950? The max rating is 7.4 volts....

thank you for the infos you have given......

My servos are Hitec 645MG and a Hitec 5955....

The only available BEC is a NOvak 5amp universal BEC, will this be good enough?

Or anybody has a spare CC BEC that I can buy?

I'm using a Novak rooster on mine with a 7955(steering servo) and a 645(dig) as well with 2s 25c lipos with no BEC and it works fine, and I never have a problem.
