Default Balance lead, yes or no?

I searched and could't find an answer so I have to ask.

I have a Racers Edge hard case 2S 20c 5000 lipo with the two charge leads ( Red, Black) and between them the small Blue balance lead plugs in.

The hold down for my Slash wants to crush the blue balance lead when I cinch it down.

Is it ok to run it with the Blue balance lead unhooked or is that a no-no?

Thanks for the help.

Running it without the balance lead is just fine. Just be sure to use it when charging for safety.

+1 on what John says, I actually made up a second lead to use when racing and one for charging. The one for racing I didnt add the balance lead so it wouldnt get messed up then when I charge the battery I switch to the balance lead since I take the battery out of the truck anyways.
