| Strong cheap servo?
Looking to get a roller and looking for advice on a good strong servo. I know I have used some servo's with 180+ oz. tq. Is that a good place to start?

When you start adding weight to the front tires you need a little more than 200oz to turn. These servos are good for ther price. http://www.jpcustomrcs.com/catalog/i...80/8177208.htm http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_...ium-Gear-Servo |

I just ordered this, for the price I thought it would be worth a shot. if everyone wants to wait till I get it, I will right a review on it once it's been tested, might not be for a month or so however, I hate waiting on packages!!. ~270 oz-in for just over $20. http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?...=STRK:MEWNX:IT i've also been eyeing this one here. its a hair less powerfull, and slightly cheaper, if the above one turns out to be junk, I might give this one a try aswell. (can't find out if they're good or not unless you try them) http://cgi.ebay.ca/RCS-M4315-Metal-G...item5adcd4247c |

don't go cheap on a servo. I did and ended up buying a bunch and killing them. Buy a quality one for more $$ you won't regret in the long run. Don't forget to set your endpoints, or you will kill any servo. I like the HS7950 TH solid no complaints and have used it hard this season and I bought it used for $75. |

| servo?
I am running most popular brands of servoes and run mostly Hitech. Value Hobby servoes are cheap and will get you started but have a hard to find servo horns. Spines are differant. Hitech9755 |

| How do you like that servo? What is your battery/ESC/BEC setup like? I am wondering because I am thinking about getting that servo when I finally decide to upgrade servos. I am curious how it would run on 7C 1500mah (8.4v) or 6C 1500mah (7.2v) NiMH with a Rooster Crawler ESC and CC BEC.

Servos is one thing you should spend a little more on. Especially if running a comp rig. I'm only running scalers now but for $50-$80 you can pretty much get used hitec 5955 7955 7950 or new hobbico cs 170 for around $80 Good luck

my setup in my AX10 was 2s lipo. CC sidewinder, CC-BEC set at 6.5volts (I could go higher, but don't feel the need for this crawler) and the HS-7954HS of course. the battery you use wont matter, since the BEC will be regulating it anyway | |
