You could do it but I dont think I would recommend doing it. If you want to do it just connect the positive and negative leads from the battery to the positive and negative of the servo, then just connect the signal wire to the rec. Why I wouldnt do it:
If this is about the M2 dig they say that they have released new firmware that is supposed to fix the compatibility issues with the CC Bec. I would try that before frying your expensive servo. |

| SMR1510RR makes a good point..... The 7950TH is designed to run off of the nominal voltage of a 2-cell LiPo pack. If someone want to hook their $120 servo straight to a battery I say have at it! But for me, I'm going to install $25 worth of insurance in between the two. Narly1 |

| I don't know too much about lipo batteries, but 8.4 volts is 8.4 volts correct? That servo is rated for a max of 7.4 period. Anything over that will fry it. I would think this applies to any type of battery. The Hitec site is most likely referring to running the servo off the BEC on the esc and plugged into the receiver, not running direct current from the battery to the servo. I agree with Narly1, put a CC BEC in there and program the voltage...if you fry it by not doing so...you're out $120 bucks...
