Default Novak Rooster Crawler esc fried?

So I wired up a rooster crawler yesterday that I bought used in the classifieds a couple years ago. It looks new. Upon turning it on the truck lurched forward and snapped an axle before I could turn it back off. I adjusted the throttle trim, propped it up, turned it back on, and nothing. I can't get it to do anything, and the steering servo won't even operate. All it does, it get real hot.

Is this thing toast? Anyone ever send one into Novak? I wonder if they can fix it for cheaper than the 50 bucks another used one would cost.

thanks
Eric

Usually, if an ESC gets hot doing nothing, it's damaged.

Could be wired wrong, but I'm sure you checked that..... Right.

Novak has a non warranty exchange program for nearly all their older products, it's listed in the customer service section of their website.

I just saw that exchange program at lunch today when I was looking for their number. Seems like a descent deal.
