Default reciever or esc problem

I have a new dx3e and sr300 rx on my axial and a novak rooster crawler I bought used off the forsale section. The problem I am having is when I turn on the esc(mind you my TX is already on) the motor runs on my car for about 3 seconds and then stops and everything then works properly. If it was on the floor it would go forward full speed for the three seconds and then stop like it finally recognizes the TX or something. Any ideas?

It sounds like you need to recalibrate the ESC.....

had a similar problem try reprogramming esc and rebind the radio
