Spektrum DX3E! Right around $100 everywhere. 2 position, 3 position or proportional 3rd channel!

I just got the 3PM-X for 150 after the $30 coupon from Tower Hobbies. I haven't installed it but looks pretty nice.

on these radios how do you adjust it so i can run more power to the front and less in the rear or just a little more to the front aand back to 50-50 and stuff like that,i thought these were all just 3 position radios

I have an old school Airtronics Caliber 3P which has a proportional 3rd channel. Adjustable via the 3rd channel dial. I used this radio for several years including my 2.2 Clod with dig back at the 2006 Nats. It's tricky to use if using the 3rd channel a lot, but after time you get it figured out. There's one on eBay right now....

I'm not sure about the 3PS though, it might have the same proportional 3rd channel but never used one. The 3PS is the version after the 3P.

I just need to find a new receiver to start to rock this thing again for my old school build.....

The major downfall to this old radio is that...
1- It's production ended around 1995 or so.
2- It's big.
3- It's a battery whore, Back when I was racing with it('92-'96) I'd use 8-16 AA batteries per day.
4- People make fun of you for rocking old technology
