Default Fxr help

So I programmed the fxr via the hot-wire system when I first bought it. Hooked it up to the punk dig and plugged it into the receiver just to make sure it functioned properly. Keep in mind the punk dig is not yet connected to the motors, i just want to make sure the fxr got the input, but when I plugged in the battery and got my radio set up, the three LEDs in the middle of the fxr turn solid red and it doesn't seem to get any input and just stays solid red. When I go to recalibrate it, it will not go through the process, again it continues to stay solid red. I just wanted to make sure it worked before finishing up my xr10, is there something really simple I'm missing? Thanks in advance!

When you calibrate start with your throttle trim dead center, you shouldnt have to move it from there for it to notice the signal. In the manual there is nothing like what you are describing as far as error codes, maybe take a look at that and see if any of them match up.
