Default radio with 3 position switch

Looking to get a 2.4 ghz radio with a true 3pos. switch with epa on that 3rd channel. One rig it would run a winch and the other rig it will run a vanquish dig. Do I even need epa for the winch? I'm assuming I do on the dig. Would like to get one one that doesn"t need to be modded. After seaching all over seems like maybe traxxas tq 2230 might be the way to go. Does traxxas still make this radio? If anything ever happens to the receiver down the road will another one be hard to get? Any other suggestions on a different radio that's under 150$

thanks
Steve

Dx3e

Traxxas doesn't make 3pos radios, so you would have to mod it or get a adapter from wantasummit

IMO you dont need epa's. I guess im old school rc guy but if you want to you can do all the adjustments with the servo linkages. its alittle harded than turning a knob but it works. For the winch you dont need the epa. EPA's are easier and if anything get out of ajustment you can fix it from the controler. As far as getting the controler, get what you need and want and dont forget to think ahead about what you might want to add. A forth ch. might be a good idea also. I think I would do a dx3e also..
