what and how to clean a motor???

Little bit off the topic but seen we talking motors/coms etc

My question is a little bit like "how long is a piece of string"

I have a set of brood 45t. How will I know when I have to cut new coms. replace bushes etc.

How often do you guys have to do this. I know it depends on run time, how you abuse the motor etc. but is it like every 50 hrs 100hrs

Just trying to find out when and what I should be looking for.

Yep,thats what I do.
The hardest thing to get really clean is the bottom of the can around the edge.
I remove my bearings and clean and oil them seperate.

DC electric motors run just fine in water. It was the OG motor breakin method for a long time, but it is outdated.

True, I've done it as well. But, likely people are using a ESC to do it, they don't like water. The motor is FINE running wet.

I used a bettery pack to run my motors in water during break-in.
