there are quite a few people that have used those 2 together mainly in their losi comp crawlers, including myself

Ya, an 18.5 on 6s in a Losi. Torque is killer, punch is decent, wheelspeed is lame and startup is rough. A normal 17.5 will work better, the 14mm rotor is what kills the ballistic 's startup and wheelspeed.
