| Dual FXR Power to rx question.
I'm hooking up and routing wires for my dual FXR setup and came across a question I can't seem to locate from searching. I'm going to run the BEC strait to the servo (7980) and only the signal wire for the servo will get plugged into the ESC, SOOOO, the question is: do I leave "ONE" of the red wires from either ESC still in it's plug to power the rx??? or still pull them both? Thanks for the help. |

You have to power the receiver with something. I just pulled one of the reds out because I wasnt sure it it would like having both plugged in.

If you pull both red wires, you won't have any power to the receiver. I have dual FXr's and my BEC routed directly to the servo. Pull one red wire, or I have been told you risk shorting out the BEC of one of the FXR's.. |

Oh sorry....I reread what you wrote and saw that you will be wiring the BEC directly to the servo. I just recently swapped my setup (dual MMPros) to a direct wired servo and reinstalled both red wires and everything runs perfectly fine.

If your trying to keep the load from running across the rec, run a red from the bec to the servo and a red from the bec to the servo. And eliminate the red from both esc's. Hope this helps

Haa, need to proof posts when interrupted. Red to rec and red to servo from bec.

It's real simple. Signal wire goes from the rx to servo. Pos and neg from bec goes to the servo. Leave both red wires from the ESCs to the rx, nothing gets fried since the rx receives power from both ESCs in parallel so voltage going into the rx is 5 to 6 volts from the ESCs bec.
