Default weird tekin reverse delay.

Ive been running brushless with the tekin rs here lately in my xr10 everything works as it should, i just got some team brood motors threw them on there and now i can't get my instant reverse to work anymore. It worked perfectly with the brushless and with the brushed motors on profile 5 which is br f/r i have noticed it takes almost exactly a 1 sec at neutral for the reverse to work on the first pull.

both are calibrated correctly, both using latest software, im no dummy, these are just the 1st brushed motors ive ran on the tekins and i can't seem to get ride of this delay.

anyone had this trouble before?

no such thing on the tekin rs, there might be something different on the fxr but the rs doesnt have any crawler options

On the RS software, there is a mixup between F/R and F/ delay/ R. It only did this with one certain version of the RS software. Updating the software through the Hotwire would likely get rid of this problem.

Program it for the delay reverse and it should work.

My buddy had the exact same problem and that fixed it for him.

Yep even on the latest 212 software you have to put it on level 6 with the rs to have foward/reverse.

im sure i would have eventually tried that but for anyone else who has the issue thats the fix.

I just ran my FXR set up for the first time yesturday, and I have something like that going on as well. The rear FXR is fine, the front has a delay in it and wants to rotate backwards if I let off the throttle after going in reverse but not forward.
It maybe the way I have the wires soldered on the front motor, I'll haveto mess around with it today and see what it's issue is.

recalibrate the esc to radio.

same thing happened to me a few weeks ago, updated the esc then had a weird coast in reverse. recalibrated to the radio and it was fine.

Sound like a solid idea, I'll give that a shot 1st.
Maybe it's not a big deal, but the front FXR is NEW, the rear FXR I got used, the decal on the ESC's are different, but they are still FXR's I wonder if there's a difference in the firmware? They are still programed the same from the led's (don't have a hotwire) so I'll see what happens after the recalibration.

Well, I just recalibrated the ESC and it still did it. I reset BOTH reverse type profiles to instant reverse and that did the trick.
I think the rear esc was was on delay perhaps. Dosent make much sense why the front was delaying but anyway, it's worked out now.
When I switched to the Blitz motors I didn't add any capacitors, I thought that might be the issue but it's good now.
NOTE: I did have to trim the front motor to not roll in reverse as well mow I'm ready to rock. (as soon as I make a steering link for the custom width Bully axles)
