Default xp sc200 esc with 380 or 260 motor?

Will it hurt to run a larger speed control (designed for 540 can) with a smaller motor (380 or 260)? Sorry i'm pretty new to this and all my rigs are 1/10 except my new 1/16 crawler.

nope it will not hurt. if you do it the other way around though, yes it will harm your electronics.
