Default Is the Novak goat 3s the way to go?

Whats up guys, I'm trying to decide what motor to go with. I have been looking at the brushless 18.5t novak goat 3s system and thought that was what I was going to go with untill I noticed the "glitching" problems people are having. I wasn't sure if this is a big problem that novak is having or if the people that are having this issue are very vocal and the people that are happy with their set up are too busy crawling to post. I have a buddy that has a Tekin 17.5 brushless esc combo and he seems happy with it but he has had it in his crawler less then a couple weeks so it's still fairly early to see if there are going to be many issues with it. I should say both of us are running Losi Night Crawlers also. Any help would be greatly apprehended. Thanks in advance.

The goat is the worst of the brushless systems, the glitching is common, but the lack of programability and the fact they force the use of thier crawler motors is the worst downfalls. The Tekin RS is great because of it's size, mamba max pro is great because of price and the ability to run 4-6s ( which I recommend in the Losi, but that's me). Either of those two units are an entire generation ahead of the goat, I spent just a couple minutes with a LRP the other night, it was better also, but not quite up there with Castle/Tekin. No experience with Losi's system, but I'm confident in saying it falls between LRP and Castle/Tekin.

Ok looks like I will probably go with a Tekin 17.5T brushless with a mamba max pro.

I had a glitch problem with my Goat 3s Ballistic Brushless 18.5 combo but quickly found out that the cause of the glitch was one of the small wires pulling out of the BEC on/off switch. Once i repaired that, no glitching and it's great with plenty of power.

I think it depends on what you are driving. IMHO and from talking to Novak, the Goat 3s brushless system was designed for the Losi worm drive.

a bad mosfet in the ESC is the culprit for the glitching in your esc

it is a internal component of the ESC that controls forward and reverse its a micro chip that reads input from your transmiter

I'm pleased with my RS and a Epic Duo2 17.5 in my LCC.
