Go back and reread bud,

That's the Mamba Max, doesn't say the Pro.

And im going to say that the mamba max is not waterproof either, i recently took to apart to get the size down a little more and there is no weather proofing, just 2 screws that holds the board to the case, also the usb plug in to access the castle link software is open with an open board inside.

I've had my mamba max for about 3 years and it's been through rain, puddles and snow and still going strong...

May be luck, but it's not waterproof.

It has a coating on the circuit board from the factory but I would not exactly call it water proof either. And yes, I consider it luck..!

thats weird the one i bought about 1.5 years ago and the one i bought about 2 weeks ago both do not have any coating on the board, it is just bare board all the solder connections are exposed. But if yours does have a coating then i would imagine it is more to protect against the one or two drops of water from rain or in humid environments to help prevent corrosion.

Iv'e always thought that it's not being under water that fries the esc, it's hitting the water with a hot esc that toast it, I may be wrong.
