| DX3E 3P Switch Mod.
This doesen't give you uninterupted momentary dig. But its better than trying to reach the back of the box everytime you want to dig. I have short fingers and the positioning of the 3p switch on the DX3E is not very user friendly. I always end up concentrating on hitting the switch instead of crawling. So I moved it below the wheel. Im sure you all have seen this set up before but I have not seen it on this radio yet. Two momentary button switches normally open. One piece of telephone wire. A piece of aluminum. drill, solder, screws, and the courage to tear your radio apart all lead to a pretty cool setup. Hope this will help someone out.

That would work great for my 6yr old son he can not reach the switch with his small hand either. Now, do you have to hold the button in while digging or does it work the same as the stock button? Great idea! Last edited by Garry; 02-02-2011 at 07:23 PM. Reason: bad spelling |

This is great. I got a daughter that is getting my 3e in a week and I would love to do this for her miniQLO MOA that I am ordering.

Just finished putting mine together, nothing to it. and after I got the radio apart, I answered my own question, the stock switch will still work. |

| I kept mine very close together and close to the grip for the young lads little hands. We went to a buddys place tonight and he finds it much easier to use now. when he remembers they are there. I left the plate long so if down the road he wants to move them down we can. |

Looks good guys. That should make it alot easier to operate. Sorry I have not been on to answer your questions. I've been busy getting ready for the new baby, and building a new rig. Don't have alot if extra time on my hands once you throw work into the mix.
