Exclamation FRUSTRATED: How do I properly setup my 3PK to use with Novak M2 Dig?

Ok guys its giving me many headaches and im getting frustrated. I have looked all over and watched videos but nothing specifically for the setup. I can get it to bind which I think is the right way but I cant figure out how to do the rest. Call me dumb but I cant figure it out for the life of me to g et the following setting below. They were working great when I got the vehicle and loved it, but since it was a second hand package I went through deleting the other settings for the previous owners vehicles and accidentally erased the setup that it had.

Setup:
XR10
3PK Radio
Novak M2 Dig
Tekin 35T Motors

What I am looking to do is:
Channel 1 = Steering (Got it)
Channel 2 Only = Front Motor (Need help)
Channel 3 Only = Rear Motor (Need Help)
Channel 2 & 3 Together = 4WD (Need help)
DT2 = Adjust dig in sets of 10 from -100 to 100 for whichever channel. ie, if I am in 4WD going forward and want to decrease/increase rear motor speed I can and if I am in reverse and want to decrease/increase front motor speed I can. (Need help)

This is what I have so far but know is wrong:
Channel 1 = Steering
Channel 2 Only = 4WD
Channel 3 Only = Nothing
Channel 2 & 3 Together = 4WD BUT at about 10% throttle forward the rear locks up and about 10% reverse the front locks up

I need help badly because I have tried figuring it out on my own but all I wanna do is have it set up right so I can go have some fun! Haha

Is this possible or am I asking too much? I swear I was able to do it when I got the setup but since the settings were erased I can no longer figure it out.

Don't think the M2 works that way. Ch 2 controls your motor power, CH 3 controls the dig. It sounds like you are trying to do mixing functions like you would with 2 ESCs...

The M2 with the new firmware (assuming that is what you have) has little prop control. It is best if you set it up for 4WD/Front Dig/Rear Dig. Also, set your dig and drag brake functions to max.

Correct, do not mix the channels. Use the CH3 switch mode in 3 pos, choice of switch is up to you but I like DT1 or DT3.

Hi

Did it work out for you? I have got the same setup and the trick is to only use the 3:rd channel and not the channel mixing.

If the 3:rd channel is pointing:

at + 100 = then only the front wheels will spin
at 0 = then all four will spin
at - 100 = then only the rear

I use the little knob on the right for the proportional(10steps a time), also found that the set up for throttle and the proportional(3:rd channel) got much smother if I put the channels in revers on the radio before I did the one touch setup on the esc.

Hello, I just registered to ask ballaholyk84:
Was the set up you said on first question possible?
By any chance do you know how?
In any case, How is the 3pks 3rd channel switch put to 3 position and how does it get to work with the 3pks and novak m2 with the novak 55t motors. got them on an xr10. Just began on the crawling world. Sorry if any rule is broken on this post.

No, the setup he posted in the first post is a very wrong one for the M2.

Follow the 3rd and 4th post if you want it to work.

Thanks.
I am sorry to sound so dumb, but How do I use the third channel or put it as a 3 position switch. I know how dumb it must seem but I have no clue and manual to the controller is not helping me much. Thanks in advance. just need to locate the 3rd channel on a 3pks and how to get it on the famous 3 position or if the dx6i will work better how do i set it up? I prefer to get the 3pks to work.

Wow, I never would have guessed that selecting a switch for the third channel would be so difficult.

Go to Menu.
Select Menu 2
Select Dial
Pick any choice of DL or DT (DT3 is usually available and positioned conveniently).
Page up (+) or down (-) until CH3 shows up.
Cursor over to the numbers (2 is default).
Page up (+) until you see 3PS.
Cursor to NOR to select which way you want the function to move.
Press END twice and you are done.

Now was that so hard?

Follow the M2 instructions and you are done.

Thank you very much. You have no idea how much this has helped.
It also helped I found that there is no more reset to the controller than the
m-res function looking around the forum.

You guys have an awesome forum right here.

I gave you the same info that the manual has.

You can only reset a model, one at a time. There is no universal reset.

M-RES = Model Reset
