Default Axial 55T motor question.

Hey guys, I have a quick question, how tight is the Axial 55 turn motor shaft, like if you tried to spin it with your hand does it spin freely or is it tight or in other words hard to spin, looking for a motor and ESC combo designed for best drag brake set up.

Thanks.

it spins pretty damn freely (just spun one I have on the bench, almost no resistance), if drag brake is your main concern, you shouldn't even be considering any "cheap" motor.

Well alright, does anyone have any recommendations then? I remember Scattman telling me about some motor at a competition but I completely forgot.

For $20 there's the Integy motor, and Holmes Sport, and Novak and Tekin. More or less the same.

Then there's the weird Integy V10 and V11 motors for like, $30 or $35.

For $50 to $60 you take it to another whole level with the handwounds from Br00d, Holmes and Fantom.

I have no major complaints with the integy motors, they are much better then the silvercan motors for sure, i'm using a tekin machine wound in one of my rigs and it defenatly feels like a step up from the integy and venom motor it had prior.

everyone swears by the handwounds (brood, holmes are the 2 that interest me) I will be getting some once a few things get changed on my rigs.

if your looking to spend about the same money as an axial motor, my recomendation goes with an integy motor. (you could also try the classifieds, its a great way to get better motors at better prices)

The axial motor has bushings not bearings! I would recommend the Tekin 45t combo for a great drag brake and good motor. The Tekin FX R has a 3 cell lipo cut off.
