Default Brushes Help

I'm running, 2 midnight 2 pro< 27 turns like stock > Super Roster and a 9.6 volt 5000 mah battery. I'm going thru brushes anout every 2 to 3 runs which are about 15-20 min run time. Question should I down size to a 7.2 highest mah will it save my brushes? Or would a 2 cell 7.2 lipo be better? I haven't messed with lipo yet, do they make a cut off or something that would work with the super rooster so it wouldn't discharge battery to much? Another thing I maintain the motors very well.Is the 9.6 the problem?
Thanks

Voltage is playing a factor for sure......so is the high timing of 24 degrees built into the Midnight 2......not to metion they are almost 15 years old....

I would suggest getting some newer motors, specifically ones you could adjust the timing on....probably would help.....plus you could get a 35t, which is a bit better suited to crawling than the 27t arm in the midnight thats designed to rev high...
