My winch control is rated at 6.0 v and my steering does 300 oz at 6v but does 400+ at 7.4 v. |

Use a y harness to plug wire the BEC directly to the servo. I have mine setup like this: and it works perfectly. No need to pull the red wire from your ESC. |

I have my 2.2 comp truck setup that way. Just make note of which wires have been removed from that harness (one red and one black on the Rx side and one white on the BEC side) and you should be good to go. You can set the BEC to whatever voltage you wish and the Rx and ESC will still function normally.

You will still need power to the receiver and winch. It looks like the y harness does not supply power to the receiver with only a signal wire to receiver. If you use this setup you could send 7.4v to your servo but still have to get 6 volts to your winch and rec. If it is what it appears to be.
