Default Traxxas ESC on Losi Night Crawler?

Wondering if a Traxxas ESC would work on a Night Crawler. I waterproofed my stock losi esc (apparently not good enough) but it burned up the other day after a water ride. I was wanting a waterproof esc but i didn't know if i could run a "non crawler" esc on my crawler.

Do you mean an XL5 or the like from Traxxas? I run one in my Axial....as long as youre running a brushed motor it will be fine. I know nothing about the Night Crawler but yes you should be fine...

Im sure a couple folks have run them.

It has a pause delay before reverse. IF you like you calibrate your controller with the throttle in reverse position and then switch it to normal so you have the pause b/w reverse and forward instead and have instant reverse.

It is safe to run lipos but it has no cutoff unless you wire in an external one or get the latest xl5 with LVC.
