Default Interchangeable servo gear sets?

I tried to search this, but came up with nothing useful. My question is, can I put a hitec 5955 gear set into a 5645 servo? It seems I borrowed my buddy's servo and now it's broken. Awesome...

Probably not. Some may be interchangable, but for the most part they won't be. The gear kit for the 645 is pretty cheap though. It is probably the one plastic gear that stripped.

That's what I figured. And actually the 5955 is cheaper and it stripped the 1st metal gear... I was very surprised.
