That looks like a stock modified motor, which is meant to be a hot 27T motor. It'd be a good choice, as its 27turn, so it won't fly up in the RPMs, but its well made, so you'll get good torque from it, unlike stock 27T motors. I still love lathe motors, imagine a day of crawling without having to change your batteries. Too cool.

Stock motors have alot of power, when you're going forward. But because they have tons of timing advance they heat up pretty quick and are a short battery life motor. They are designed to be run for 5 minutes in races.

Check general crawlers, do a search there for the integy lathe motors. There's about 15 threads about them, each with links. You can get them from integy and other places

Jams1stang (or something close to that..) sells them for like 45$ a pair shipped. He is on the board, you'll see him post on any of the lathe motor threads, get them from him

The MVP doesn't have very much torque to it. I would get a Magnetic Mayhem or something. I am running a electrifly 600 size motor in my Bruiser with good luck.

Meh. It'll run either way... and you can always just reverse the timing 180 degrees (assuming they're adjustable)
