| 4ws question
i am running 4ws on my clod and wondering if i can control the steering a little more.... i am running it with a reverser harness and it seems like the rear end is the dominant end. i have hitech 645 servos on it with a futaba 2ch radio... i also have a 3 channel CRX but i dont think i can control the rear independantly with that.... is anyway other than a new radio to control the rear steer???? |

I had the same problem with my Maxx. Luckily I was able to adjust the EPA on the rear steering servo with my radio. I really don't know of a way other than using a shorter servo horn on the rear or a longer one on the front. But the trade off is that it may bend or break the longer you go.

The CRX you can control them independently. I know this because thats what I use. Takes a little time to set up but you can do it.

I too noticed the rear steering more. I figured heck, it's probably just stronger because it was the throttle on my nitro and the other one got bumped and bruised and just wasn't as strong. So I switched em and same thing. Alot of good that did me lol

I'm not familiar with how the CRX works, but on my Futaba 3VCS (2 stick version of 3PK) I set up my rear servo on channel 3, then mix it with channel 2. This way I can set end-points and exponential on the rear servo seperately from the front servo and still control it with the right stick (or wheel for you pistol guys). Then I can switch on and off the rear steer via the transmitter on the fly. When the rear steer is in the off position, it automatically returns to center. So, when I'm cruising around in a gravel pit I'll have the rear steer off to keep from rolling over, then when I run into the rough stuff, I'll turn it on to enhance my clods agility. -Frank |

You have to use 4 models in a row and switch back and forth between F,CRAB,R,4WS.
