I would have your local hobby store order a dx6i with the throttle return mod done on the left stick. This is a spring they put in so the stick is in the center and you can easily forward / reverse / neutral. Horizon doesn't charge extra for this. It's much easier to drive having that done. You will really need a separate radio to fly with. The left (throttle) on a radio to fly with, the stick is all the way down and you have the full 'up' for forward. No reverse on a plane. Hope this makes sense. I have been using a stick radio for a year or so and like driving with it a lot better. And another bonus, rx's are half the money than surface receivers, with twice the channels. I just bought my first plane, Apprentice, and it comes RTF with a stick radio. Or you can do this mod yourself, doesn't look hard: DX6i Left stick centering Mod with Pictures Last edited by Agama; 04-02-2011 at 06:43 AM. Reason: text added |

I have three of these, and have had great luck with them: http://www.spektrumrc.com/Products/D...odID=SPMAR6115 I also have a couple of these and like them too: http://www.spektrumrc.com/Products/D...dID=SPMAR6115E Basically the same rx, just depends on where you want to mount them and have the wires come out. | |

Hey Minnesotamidder. I have my DX6i up for sale with the AR6115e 6-Channel DSMX Microlite Receiver at my local club's websites. I purchased it from another crawler who tried a stick but it didn't work out. I didn't give myself enough time to get used to a stick and shelved the idea. I doubt this stick has more than 5 hours of use. still in new condition. PM me if your interested. |
