Default Battery C rating

Hi guys,

I have an xr10 that I'm picking up batteries for. my question is in my helis and my race trucks I use really high c ratings (50-65C) since these are crawlers with really HIGH turn motors... what is the ideal C rating? I do know that the ESC is only going to pull the max amount it can pull (not the max amount of the battery in High C scenarios)

What do you think?

Most of us use the highest C rated bats we can, whether or not we need to is moot. We just do. However, there are times that we do use them, in bursts, or when the wheels are bound and you need to power through.

Btw, I personally use 45C and 65C batts.

As for the Corkscrew....that pic was taken the week before they "resurfaced" the whole track, when there was a quick rise before you made the drop. Valentino Rossi whined about it, so they shaved it down. It's still a mad rush that creates major pucker factor, it's a little tamer now, but still a totally blind entrance that you pray, and dive into, trusting the track is there and you bike will find it!! Just don't miss your breaking marker...or you'll eat sand!!

Thunder Power just released their 65C batts, good luck finding them in stock, they were due out last week, but according to Mike @ CheaperBatteryPacks.com TP delayed the release, or at least he hasn't received his order yet. I got lucky and found 2 65C 850's at my local Hobby Town...and I have 2 more on order with Mike.

You talking to me?
If so I probably get 20-30 min out of my 1100mah packs, I don't usually run a pack straight thru with out stopping. We usually run 5 min courses and I have run 3 courses plus a 4 min final on one pack. This is with 45t motors on a dual esc XR-10.

I bought my TP G6 65C 850's here in the UK on the 17th March and they arrived the next day

Better burst than my Hyperion 1100 G3 45C's , which lasted about 20-25 min in my berg running 47T motors btw DucatiDesmo
