Default Any Hyperion Gurus out there? Having a problem charging a 2000mAh more than 4amps

Hi all,

I have a battery that can accept up to a 5c charge and have a hyperion 615DUO3. My problem is that the second I set my charger to 2s 2000mAh, it won't let me go past 4 amps or 2c. I don't want to charge the full 10 amps, however. is there a way to let me charge at a higher amperage?

I ask becasue if I set it up for 7.4 5400, it'll let me charge to what ever amperage I choose.. it's driving me crazy!

Maybe I'm just dumb.. but could someone help me out?

Hi Ducati

I have a Hyperion too

It won't allow you to charge at more than 2c unless you lie to it

If you want to charge at 4 amps then set mah at 2000. 5amps set at 2500 etc. It will peak the same

Personally, I wouldn't charge at more than 2c because from what I understand, you are shortening the life of the battery and getting a lesser quality charge

You can trick it but in most cases I wouldn't charge above 1c unless I really needed it that quick. If the charger let's it charge up to 2c, you can put in 4000 mah like said and get a 8 amp charge rate. 5000 mah setting would give you 10 amps. The charger doesn't use mah rating for anything other than setting charge rates so it will not affect your peaks at all. It uses the voltage to determine charge level.

His Hyperion will charge at 2c so thats why I listed numbers that way.

And you can adjust amperage seperately from mah rating on the hyperion which is again why I stated it that way

in the menu settings there is an option for LIPO MAX C charge, that is most likely set to 1c. my eos0720i is this way
