| Can't decide on what servo to get. Please help
I've got an ax10 with ae-2 esc, cc bec, stock weighted rims(about 12oz a piece) in the front with sedona tires. Front rims are going on a diet soon but anyway. The whole rig is in the 5-7 lbs rang(haven't weighed the whole rig yet) I'm debating between the hitec hs-7954sh or the tower pro cs-170. I'm leaning for the hitec right now because of the higher torque(333@6v,403@7.4v) and metal gears. Just don't know if it's worth it to pay like 10 bucks more for the cs-170(250@4.8v,333@6v) with titanium gears. Would it be better to have the titanium gears when the metal gears for the hs-7954sh are available? Ive seen good reviews on both just wanted some more input before I go drop 100 bucks. Thanks guys.

For $20 more you can get the HS-7950TH...I would do that,486oz/in @7.4 and titanium gears. You wont need or want another servo for a long time. I just picked one up myself to replace my cs-170. The cs-170 is a decent servo but it will not steer my berg when I get the front tires wedged into a rock. Its worth the extra money! |

I would love to go with the hs-7950th but I'm on a strict budget of 100.00. I can get the hs-7954sh for 79.99 plus shipping or the cs-170 for 89.99 plus shipping. So I have found those to be two of the strongest servo's for under 100.00 shipping included.

I would go with the 7950TH @ 7.4 volts. I have two of them and they are rock solid!

I've got a cs-170 direct wired to my bec and couldn't be happier. It's a solid servo you can't beat ti gears.

If you have to choose between those two go with the hitec. The power is going to be nice and just buy an extra set of gears so when they go, you have them. | |

The CS-170 is the HiTec 7955TG in every way but the sticker on top with the same warranty. I run them with no problems at all. If you can get the hs-7954sh for 79.99 then grab it as they are $105 on Amain. |
