| novac rooster help!!!!!!!!!!!!!
i just got an older novac rooster and wired it up but there is no brakes. is this normal for these? i have no exp. with these roosters so im not sure. i went to novaks website and found the online manual but it doesnt tell me how to get brakes back by any programing methods. it goes from trottle to reverse and every other esc i have its thottle-brake-reverse. |

Sounds almost like a "crawler mode" where you WANT it to skip brakes and go straight to reverse. I also have a PC programmer for mine, thus I don't have to mess with the ESC buttons. |

Is it a "Rooster", or a "Rooster Crawler"? These are two different ESCs...

if it is an original rooster there is only 1 profile, and it is way before lipo was used in RC It should have brakes. here is the instruction sheet: http://www.teamnovak.com/download/in...ter_superr.pdf the diagrams all show a super rooster, which may look different from your rooster as there were a couple generations of the original rooster, but the setup is the same. |

novak does not repair esc's unless they are under warranty(even then they don't necessarily repair it but replace it with a reman unit). since yours is discontinued the best you can do is to trade it in on an upgrade program for a new esc. http://www.teamnovak.com/cs/web_opti...ex_legacy.html What you have is perfect for a worm crawler though, forward/rev with no brake. |
