Default novac rooster help!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i just got an older novac rooster and wired it up but there is no brakes. is this normal for these? i have no exp. with these roosters so im not sure.
i went to novaks website and found the online manual but it doesnt tell me how to get brakes back by any programing methods.

it goes from trottle to reverse and every other esc i have its thottle-brake-reverse.

Sounds almost like a "crawler mode" where you WANT it to skip brakes and go straight to reverse.

I also have a PC programmer for mine, thus I don't have to mess with the ESC buttons.

Is it a "Rooster", or a "Rooster Crawler"? These are two different ESCs...

if its a Rooster Crawler, it would still have a drag brake in neutral...and what PC programmer do you have for the Novak?????

Default rooster

its a rooster not a rooster crawler
mine has no brake at all it foward/revarse no brake. as i said earlier its a little older rooster so im not sure if they was made this way or not but seems like even in racing rc you would have to have brakes.
THANKS FOR YOUR REPLIES AND TRYIN TO HELP ME WITH THIS THING.

if it is an original rooster there is only 1 profile, and it is way before lipo was used in RC
It should have brakes.
here is the instruction sheet:
http://www.teamnovak.com/download/in...ter_superr.pdf

the diagrams all show a super rooster, which may look different from your rooster as there were a couple generations of the original rooster, but the setup is the same.

thanks for the link but thats the instruction sheet i found on their site and it didnt help me at all.
thanks for the info thou, i thought it supposed to have brakes but wasnt sure.
something is defintly wrong with it. i wonder if its worth sending to novak for repair or just throw in the junk box.

novak does not repair esc's unless they are under warranty(even then they don't necessarily repair it but replace it with a reman unit).
since yours is discontinued the best you can do is to trade it in on an upgrade program for a new esc.

What you have is perfect for a worm crawler though, forward/rev with no brake.
