Default DX6i Auto Center 5 min mod

So I just converted to twin stick driving. This is how I've got my auto center modded for the time being till I can find all the parts I need to make it happen.

Take a piece of .030 lexan, cut it into a strip about 1/2 inch wide and about 4 inches long. On the top and bottom for the lever there's two hole that you can perfectly thread a 2x12mm screw into. The tighter you screw it in the more resistance and faster centering you get from the flex of the lexan. works just as good as a spring.

Make sure the lexan sits flat across the lever so that it's centered then adjust each screw for precision.

Extended up.

I don't understand wht you are doing here. And what vehicle is that?

What are the benefits of 'twin stick driving' and 6 channels on a crawer? Just curious. I am still rocking the 2-channel pistol that came with my Dingo.

Basicly you use the twin stick on the MOA type crawlers so that you have full function F/R of each axle on two diferent sticks. Basicaly, you could stop the fron wheels and spin the rear so spin both wheels oposit directions faster and smother than a punk dig or mech switch. A little tricky to drive but once you get use to it, it totaly rocks!

Trick idea, that is a lot easier than springs!
Thanks for the TIP, should help me finish my 2nd trigger quicker than dealing with installing springs

I'm also using a dx6i for my xr10. sooooo much better than the pistol grip (once you get used to it).
I have set both motors to run together at the same speed on the left stick only (elevator) but can be overun by the right stick (front motor).
Then I can also flick the D/R elevator switch and have total independant control of both motors on the two sticks. Flick the switch back and your back to one left stick for both motors and right stick for steering (left and right)

To get the self centering on the right stick I simply unscrewed the four screws and rotated the stick from the inside 90 degrees to give forward and backward self centering.
Hope that makes sence.
