Which one do I choose? http://www.hobbypartz.com/83p-3000mah-3s1p-111-20c.html http://www.hobbypartz.com/83p-2200mah-3s1p-111-25c.html And what does 1p stand for? Last edited by demonoid369; 05-07-2011 at 04:48 PM. |

1p = 1 parallel >>> so 3s1p means 3 cells in series and 1 in parallel (or basically none in parallel). When cells are in series the volts add up, when they are in series the mAh add up giving more run time. I think most people here use Xs1p |

cant go wrong with either, just a capacity differance really. 1p stands for 1 set of cells in "parallel" so 3 cells total on a 3s pack (s stands for series, 3 cells in series = 11.1v) 2p would mean 2 sets of cells so a 3s2p would have a total of 6 cells with the same voltage as a 3s1p pack (double the capacity/size however) |

Ahhhh alright and how much of a difference is the 20c and 25c? Is it noticeable or not?

the packs your looking at are 3000mah 20c = 60 amps 2200mah 25c = 55 amps not a huge differance, like I said, just a capacity differance since you seem to be using this thread to also learn about lipo's here is the formula used to find the max amp draw on a lipo Formula: (C-Rating) X (AH) = Maximum Constant Amp Draw Now to use this formula you first need to convert your battery size from the common MilliAmpHours to AmpHours. A MilliAmp is One-Thousandth of an Amp. So here are some Examples of converting MilliAmpHours to AmpHours: 800mAH = .800AH 1350mAH = 1.350AH 2200mAH = 2.200AH The converted number will be the “(AH)” in the formula. Now that you have your “(AH)” number, plug it in to the formula with the “C” rating number of your Battery and Calculate. Here are some Examples: (800mAH 10C Lipo Battery): .800AH X 10C = 8Amps Max Constant (800mAH 20C Lipo Battery): .800AH X 20C = 16Amps Max Constant (1350mAH 15C Lipo Battery): 1.350AH X 15C = 20.25Amps Max Constant (1350mAH 30C Lipo Battery): 1.350AH X 30C = 40.50Amps Max Constant (2200mAH 20C Lipo Battery): 2.200AH X 20C = 44.00Amps Max Constant (2200mAH 30C Lipo Battery): 2.200AH X 30C = 66.00Amps Max Constant Last edited by fred0000; 05-07-2011 at 05:09 PM. |

| that is def. noticable. 25c runs like crap on my novak goat 3s and the 35c runs awesome. If tried many different companies and you can trust the true c rating so i bumped up to 35c and runs great. the true c rating is who knows but then again on my lhs 25c from china who knows what they are. If a good quality battery wasnt so expensive like dynamite to name one I sure the 25c would be fine

A "5C" difference may NOT be noticeable, a "10C+" WILL be noticeable. As to the accuracy of the "C" ratings, I believe the ratings from CheapBatteryPacks, but not some of the others. | |

[QUOTE=Charlie-III;3082351]Ummm....not sure if you are agreeing with me or not. A "5C" difference may NOT be noticeable, a "10C+" WILL be noticeable. lol No I do agree with you I just started rambling on your right, a 5c jump is hard to notice unless your drag racing a timer you could gain a hair. |
