Default Question about my Tekin FX-R

This is my first crawler rig so please forgive my ignorance on the matter. The problem I am having is I have the drag brake set to full (11) but when I let off the throttle on a 50 degree or more incline she rolls backwards. I do not have the hotwire so I am wondering if there is another adjustment that can be made through it that will correct this or if it is supposed to be this way? I can take it to my LHS for programming through a hotwire if it can be fixed that way.
Thanks for any possible advice on this

if you tweak the throttle very lightly it will hold in place. thats what i do on mine and it holds great

"Drag brake" also depends on the motor you are running. A decent one with high tension brush springs will do better than a weak motor with light springs.

Thanks for the replies guys
I am too new to this to really know what is a good motor I guess
I am running the Tekin 45T, not sure on what the consensus of it's quality is.

I don't know that motor, so I would be guessing on it's relative value/performance.

It's a relatively decent motor from what i have seen of them, slightly better than the integy motors but not as good as an hh hand wound and should hold with the full drag brake. Probably like the other person said just make sure your throttle dead band is set correctly, because if it is slightly off it will cause the brake not to engage.

Something to check is your throttle trim, make sure it's set at ZERO. Otherwise it'll keep the drag brake from engaging.
