Default battery charging

gah... i hate to even ask this... i know i am going to get the "use the search" response, but i havent been able to find the info that i am looking for in the forums.

anyway...
i bought a new battery (3300 nimh)
http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/WTI0001P?&I=LXHUK0
and a new charger
http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/WTI0001P?&I=LXCLD5

so, for the first charge, should do a slow charge on it? at C/10 (.33mah)?
or would a peak charge be ok? 1C (3.3mah)?

after the first charge, can/should i always do a slow charge on it or a peak charge?

i am still trying to learn the proper ways to care for and charge the newer batteries (heh.. i just upgraded from a 10 year old battery and a 10 year old 15-minute timer charger ).

any help will be appreciated :-P

A slow c/10 charge for 15 hrs is the best, but is hard to do on any peak charger

It is not needed, but if you want to try to fool the piranha into doing it then try setting charge rate to 200 ma and trickle rate to 200 ma and let it charge for 20 hrs or so.

After the first cycle a fast charge of up to 5 amps can be used from then on. If this don't work then the next best thing is to leave it on trickle charge a long time after the peak charge has shut off.
