Default *** CC Sidewinder V2 Glitching ***

A buddy of mine just install a sidewinder v2 esc and its all glitchy. He is using a 3 cell lipo and a novak 55t turn motor. He has tried to hook it up using the white wire as the negative and the red wire as the possitive still glitches? The motor has the capacitors on it we don't know what to do any info would be great thanks guys

I'm gonna guess the esc is set to brushless.
To change this you'll need to program it using the Castle link to your pc.

If the motor is sitting there stuttering its arse of like a cat about to get eaten by a pit bull. Your esc is still in brushless mode (default from the factory)

Like Norcal said, You need to program it with castle link into the correct mode. While you're at it make sure to put the latest firmware on there. Fixes the issues with brushed motor back to Red + and Black -
