Default Reverse timing on a Lathe motor

Im just thinking out loud here as to make sure I dont mess up.

I have two 55t lathe motors that im gonna stick in the clod axles.
With regards to the reverse timing needed for the rear motor, can I just solder the + from the esc to the - on the motor and the same for the - from the esc to the + on the motor for reverse rotation. Then, would I have with the - on the rear motor to the + to the front motor to get correct rotation for the front motor.

I hope this makes sense, FLAME me if it doesnt:?

As long as you've got zero timing, do what you like. At zero, the motor doesn't care. Only when you have advanced timing is reverse-wiring a bad thing. Since the lathe motors are adjustable, set the timing to zero and have at it.
