Default Possible using 3 channel radio?

I know this is kinda a crazy question but I figure I would ask since I have no experience with Spektrum radios. I'm planning on buying a DX3C radio this weekend for my SCX10 and using the 3rd channel to run a winch.

I'm building a KOH style tube Jeep which I'm gonna buy another receiver for and use the DX3C on it also. My question is, is there someway to change the 3rd channel to run a servo winch and operate a 2 speed trans? I figure it wouldn't hurt to ask but I'm already assuming I'll need a 4 channel radio for it... It is comes down to it, I could manually change low/high gears.

Thanks,
Eric

on a 3ch you cant have a winch and shift servo both running off the rx. its one or the other. i would have the shift servo hooked up and use the winches controller to spool and unspool if it has one.

Thats what I figured, I just wasnt too familiar with the Spektrum 3 channel radios. Didn't know if it was possible. I believe I may have the winch on the 3rd channel and do the shift manually till I can get a TQ4 or something.

Thanks

Look into the gt3b, i have a hack kit i'm working on and it can have up to 6 channels, all the aux channels have 3 position capability. You'd be looking at around $60 investment after the radio and kit and extra rx's cost lie $10.
