You pay for what you get. However the Highlift doesn't need a 4 channel radio, a 3 channel will do it.

If you want a winch then you will need 4 channels.

The available options are
Futaba 4PL
Traxxas 4 channel
Airtronics MX4
RC4WD XR4

Are you looking for a pistol grip or twin stick radio. BTW, there are PLENTY more options than what is listed above...

Yea about another $35 on top of the gt3b and a few solder joints you can have a 6 channel pistol w/ dual esc and 4ws mixing. It just about kills any competition due to the price. Its harder to program than the more expensive, but it has alot of features on it. And if it can't do what you want if you ask psx over on rctech he can probably add it to his todo list on for future firmware updates...but it seems like everything is covered for us at least. Theres still afew "bugs" that need to be ironed out for using 2+ switches to do the same function. But this functionality will soon be added.

Don`t forget that for the hilift you need a 3 way 3rd channel for the gearbox, and if you want a winch for it a 3 way 4th channel is very useful!.

I have the RC4WD xr4 radio and love it! all ch's have 3 pos. so you can run the 3spd and what have you, and it has mutil model memory so it can also run other rc's you have if you buy extra recivers.
