Default servo upgrade? cant make up my mind help pls

i tested my hitec645 servo on my drifter wich takes less to turn and yup my servo, seems week to one side only, so i looked up a upgrade:

Hitec HS-5645MG <~~~ direct replacement but would liek to upgrade

Hobbico CS-150 <~~~ is it worth? i mean i sounds good anyone have one? any feedback?

Savox SC-0251 <~~~~ i actually like this one, 1) would i need a cap? i have a traxxas 4ch link radio. also is this too big for my scx10?
it says LARGE STANDARD SERVO?

Unless you're running a 1.9, I would move up to a HiTec 7955TG. About double the torque in the same size package.
My son & I run them in 2.2 comp rigs, mine is moving to my MRC Pro 1.9 rig & getting replaced with a HiTec 7950.

You dont want the hobbico cs-150, its about the same as the 645. You need the Hobbico Cs-170.

The 645 is different than the 5645. The 5645 is digital and has a wee bit more torque. Price wise the digital is a bit more but not much.

I'm using a 645 in my son's Dingo and it works well. I've got 4.65" tall tires and about an ounce of weight in each tire plus a 6cell nimh in the front and it doesn't have any trouble turning things for trail runs.

If you're trailing running it and the truck is not too heavy I don't see why a 645 wouldn't work well until you can pony up for a 7955 if you decide the 645 is too weak. Either way use a metal servo horn and you'd be good to go.

I look at it this way, if you toast a few "cheaper" servos, what is the total cost (add in shipping, downtime, aggravation, etc.) in the long run??

I don't run Savox, so I can't really comment. I know others that do run them and they seem to be a decent servo.

I had the 5645mg on my LCC when i first got it and went through 3 sets of gears before i realized it just can't handle the jolts and needs of a good crawler. I would have to say that if you do get it, plan on upgrading it after a while and get an extra gear while your at it so you can replace the striped gear.

If this is for your honcho I would go with either the 7955 hitec or the JR 8711. But if your on a budget go with the hitec 985. Word of advice I use to think that way about servos until I went through 3 servos in one year after that never went cheap on a servo, if you can't budget it right now wait a little cause in the long run will be worth it..

I may get flamed for this but when I got my SCX10 it had a standard JR servo on it rated @ 48oz. in, it turned the wheels but that was it. I'm running RC4WD 1.9" Interco Iroks that are 4.7" tall. Over the weekend I got a Hitec 5645, it works great for me. I would have liked to got a 7950 but that was a little more than I could swing for now.

my first scaler was running a 645 with no problem at all till i parted it out and now that same servo is in my 8.5lb 4wd shaft pulling truck and has been going strong for 3 yrs (not even a gear breaking). sure i could use more torque but dont need it, but on my comp crawler i run a 7955 since crawlers demand more torque than most scalers doing trail driving.

All the new HiTec's I've seen have a ~3/4" long aluminum servo arm in the box (plus different plastic ones).

I have the savox 350oz/in servo but running off 7.4v thanks to a castle bec and I love this thing haven't had any issues what so ever out of it. I recomend it. But its a high voltage servo so a minimum of 7.4 volts is neccesarry
