|  3S Motor work with a 2S ESC??
Iv tried searching but havent come up with anything. and fairly new to the whole brushless setup. Wondering if a 2S ESC can run a 3S motor? example Can my 2s Novak Havoc ESC handle say the Traxxas VXL motor? or can my 2S handle a Ballistic 3S 13.5 motor.?? I ask because normaly it looks like people go one way or the other full set up. didnt know if it could cause problems drawing amps or if it all depended on the power sourse such as a 2s lipo would the C-RATING have any problem? |

A 2s ESC can run a 3s motor, if you run it on 2s. It will just be slower. Did you look at the wind restriction of the ESC? Will take a 13.5 motor?

But thanks for your help. I just didnt want to get a motor from a 3s system and end up with a smoked ESC ya know. better safe than sorry. | |
