Castle has seriously upped the game with their sensorless firmware/technology and cogging would only be noticeable at very low speeds start/stops if it all. Geared properly it will run extremely well. Most people who make much ado about cogging are the ones with very little experience with any of it.

This is going to be put in a lcc for my dad to use. I already have the sidewinder and might have a trade for a lcp 21.5 is why I asked. If gearing is the key, then I wont hesitate at all now.

The LCC being worm will be a little more forgiving with brushless anyway. It won't be perfect but should work. You may have to adjust the start power settings and timing to get the best results though.

Actually, going brushless on a LCC is the best bet since any worm drive rig EATS brushed motors. The worm drive is basically your drag brake.
