Officialy no, the silicone gasket you see is called a "dust seal" by Novak. They do have an element of spash resistance from my expirience, but don't count on it every time. |

What is everyone doing to keep the sensored motor operating while wet? I have a Havoc 3S and it wouldn't work after I accidentally splashed it going through a small puddle. Took the case apart and let it dry, and it is still working a year later. So I guess Novaks "gasket" is a joke. I also had terrible problems with dust and debri fouling the sensor in only a few packs. I took the motor, a Ballistic 8.5, apart and cleaned everything with motor cleaner and compressed air. Then I put dielectric grease all around the can sections and where all the wires come out. It is better, but I have to repeat this tedios process every 40 packs or the sensor gets too dirty to read correctly. I much prefered the more sealed design of my old SS5800. That thing saw so many hours of snow bashing without issue until after two years of neglet the front bearing went bad. Took it apart to replace the bearing and everything was still very clean inside |

My novak 2s is picky lol I have a hard time keeping it happy when it dry out let alone putting some water on it hahaha. Plasti dip dose work, but If you could get away with it, insted of breaking it apart and dipping the board, try to use a container and water proof the container insted of having the chance of messing up your ESC. |
