Default Spektrum Voltage Protection Capacitor?

is any one using one of these??

im not good with electrical stuff but from what i gathered it looks like it maybe allows u to run a more powerful servo. im prolly gonna end up wiring a bec in but seen this and figured id ask.

This capacitor is to provide a bit of electricity when the power demand is high to prevent the receiver from losing power such as when the throttle is WOT and turning full lock at the same time. It does not provide protection from voltage spikes, it only acts as a tiny battery to assist the internal BEC from the ESC.

+1, like the big caps some stereo users in automotive have. It helps with the short duration spikes of power needs.
Getting a BEC is a better way to do it in the long run.

ok gotcha figured id ask before i bought somthing i didnt need. Gonna get a bec and wire that bad boy in then. Thanks
