Toyed around with a 21.5 on 6s. Mainly driving my scaler on a short course track and clearing all the jumps. Took it easy, and only drove for about 5-7 minutes at a time, which about all the 1300mah packs would last. Got warm, but not hot.

Cool that is the motor I have in my JK TTC right now. Thinking about given it a try.

Thanks for the post

Make sure your tires are balanced. All the sticky weights came off mine after a few full throttle runs down the straight. And that was with black tape wrapped around the weights too. 4s was a much better comprimise for my scaler. Also, my timing was bumped to about 40 degrees on top end with a MMP.

I think you should go with 2s for our next TTC Saydee... perhaps even a 7.2v NiMh

I am geared very low

32 pitch 9/58 so I was just hoping to get more wheel speed nothing crazy

As was I , 14/87 = 6.21 vs your 9/58 = 6.44

And it eventually stripped out the axial plastic spur gear holder.
