| 2 button tq-3 3rd channel setup
thought Id try several different ways to activate the 3rd channel onthe radio I tried the one switch I got elsewhere but it seamed to stiff to easily hold and a little awkward So I thought of 2 easy set micro pushbuttons first found a small piece of kydex and cut it inot the rough shape to fit as a cover plate to the radio TX, I drilled 2 holes into the piece of kydex that I had around to accept the switches then I heated the piece with a torch and placed it on the TX at the slot to bend it to fit next i soldered in the 2 switches with a Y harness for the grey wire drilled out the location where the switches would sit so they would only contact the cover plate CA'd the switch plate into place and installed the 2 push buttons then machined the pushbutton caps so they fit nicely together, now I just rock my thumb back and forth to activate the rear steer. |

Looks good. I do have a question though...why not just get a micro rocker switch? They're low profile and you can get them in a sping loaded momentary style so that they return to center. And they take like 2 minutes to install, and the switch is like $4.00. Just curious.

I saw somewhere once that someone had used a slider on the 3rd channel where you have the pushbuttons... With a center click on it, that'd be a good way to go... However, I drive backwards to everyone, right on the trigger, left on the wheel, so I can't try it myself... I'll hafta go the 2 stick way...

Looks good, right now I just have the three way toggle switch. I do have to say that the UTQ3 radio has got my interest. Last night I spent a while trying to get the tx to mix channels one and three. I got close but never figured it out. Did get it to work but the way I had it wired reduced the servo throw. May keep working at it a bit. May not, lol. Anyway once again nice job on the button install.
