| sidewinder or another esc?
I was thinking about running a sidewinder in my scaler cause id like to go brushless and its a decent price. what are their glitchs or problems if any? Is there any other brushless esc that is better around the same price?

Sidewinders are great for brushed and sensorless brushless systems. However sensored brushless has a much smoother startup and IMO is worth the cost to step up to the Mamba Max Pro (One Cell also works fine as you'll need a BEC no matter what ESC you use). The 4s limit on the sidewinder is enough for most, but for TTC type events it's nice to be able to slap in 6s for sled pulls and timed events.

I don't do comps with my scaler. I was just wanting a decent brushless system for hill climbs and stuff

Good choice, now you can run any motor or battery you desire in the future.
